orchid in bloom Greencare Interior Plantscapes came to be in 1984 as an interior landscaping business - installing and maintaining tropical plants in banks, malls, restaurants and other places people need the soothing effects of green leaves.

April 1987 saw the opening of our first retail location - we shared shop space on Central St in downtown Bangor with a gift store. We sold tropical plants and useful accessories.

We've moved to several locations since then, mainly in Hampden, each time expanding a little more, adding more goodies to the inventory and more plant know-how to the "data banks". Finally in 1999 we found a place to put down roots and stay - our current location on Hammond St in Hermon.

We want to get you excited about your plants. We are here to offer interesting, healthy plants and supplies and the information and moral support you need to be successful with them.

We do our best to be friendly to the earth. We try to use organic growing and pest control methods as much as we can and always choose the least toxic way.
