The Greenhouse

2/11/08 Having a greenhouse to spend time in in the Winter is the ultimate luxury for those of us who must endure the season without leaving the state. Just being able to smell moist earth this time of year is a treat, not to mention the hyacinth and primroses.

If you are looking for bonsai and bonsai "starts" there is a great selection right now. The evergreens are just showing some new growth (they know Spring is coming!) One advantage to bonsai is they are small and there is always room for one more!

Our orchid supply is in good shape - Valentines Day is upon us and we think orchids are so much classier then roses! Longer lasting too.

We have a slelction of fresh culinary herbs to add to your Winter recipes (or just to smell!) You just can't have too much basil.

Tropicals are the main focus of the greenhouse this time of year. How about a calamondin orange bush or a banana tree?
