Greenhouse

8/1/10 There are a few new and interesting plants in the greenhouse.

Ficus triangularis Ficus triangularis

This plant is new to us - Yes, it is a fig! This variety is sold in a hanging basket as it is not a strongly upright variety and is a good choice for a sunny window. You could also use it as a table top plant.

NepenthesNepenthes

Nepenthes is a tropical pitcher plant, and like all pitchers is "carnivorous" and digests bugs in its pitchers. An interesting addition to a bright humid bathroom or kitchen.

Orchids! Although with this heat we have to keep them misted constantly keeping them cool to avoid blasting flower buds.

Phal 1

Harleguin Phal

There is a great selection of majestic moth orchids and cute minis of varoius varieties. We have coconut orchids too!
